Two Efforts to Prepare Maricopa County
Bio-Defense Network is working on two projects for Maricopa County Department of Public Health.
First is a plan for Volunteer Reception Centers (VRCs) that will be utilized during a public health disaster. The VRCs will quickly and efficiently register volunteers, assign them and train them for the emergency at hand before they leave to go to the disaster site.
Second is the Community Disaster Resilience (CDR) Partnership, where Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) is partnering with local agencies for preparedness education and hands on planning to increase community resiliency during a disaster.
