In a recent national conference of business continuity professionals, Bio-Defense Network encouraged about 70 executives to become Closed POD hosts in their community.
The message was clear and well received: Local Public Health Departments around the nation need their help to respond to a bioterrorism event. There were so many interesting and thoughtful questions that it ran over the time allotted for the presentation.
It was made clear to attendees that the program is free and that they should reach out to their local public health departments to inquire about taking part in the local program.
If you’re responsible for Closed PODs in your community, don’t be surprised if you are contacted by one of these employers.
Bio-Defense Network hopes some lasting partnerships will be created through this effort.
