Ebola Outbreak Declared Public Health Emergency of International Concern
Contagion reports The World Health Organization International Health Regulations Emergency Committee has recommended that WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, PhD, declare the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC). Dr. Tedros hasĀ accepted the recommendation, making it official.
