The BBC’s Kate Lamble produced a fascinating nine-minute story on how scientists dug into Alaska’s permafrost to find traces of the deadly Spanish Flu and to understand why that strain was so virulent and caused so many deaths.
Those Brits have strange spellings for words like “behavior” and “defense,” but this is well worth the listen.
