Flu Vaccine More Effective in Women, Study Finds

Here at Bio-Defense Network believe in getting annual flu shots.  We believe that even in times when the current shot may not be especially effective.  Medical experts agree that the seasonal flu shot it safe, but not totally save, and effective, but not totally effective.

But we would rather be “mostly safe and mostly effective” rather than not safe and not effective.

So, here’s some current research on the relative effectiveness of the shot:

Sex appears to have a significant impact on the efficacy of the influenza vaccine, according to a new study. However, the authors conclude that more evidence is needed before scientists can determine whether influenza prevention strategies should vary by sex, according to Contagion Live.
