‘Her addiction stalked her and stole her’: Heartbreaking obituary details ‘darkness’ of opioids

We don’t normally publish obituaries, but this one goes right to the heart of the opioid  addiction crisis that is affecting the nation, and we wanted to share it with you.

The story, from the Washington Post, outlines a years-long on-again, off-again relationship with opioids, and the last dozen days of Madelyn Ellen Linsenmeir’s life. Twelve days that gave her family hope, but ended with her death of an overdose.
